Putting Performance to the Test
The numbers are clear. Although the Chevy Colorado and Toyota Tacoma have similarly-sized turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the slightly larger 2.7-liter in the Colorado outperforms the Tacoma with 237 horsepower as the standard and 310 horsepower for the off-road-oriented ZR2 model. The Tacoma provides 228 horsepower as the base and tops out at 278 horsepower.
